I found my camera!

For the past month I could not remember where I had put my camera!!  I knew the last time I had it was at Easter, but after that, I couldn't tell ya.

Luckily my sister Jenny had found it at my Aunt Jane's house where we had easter and had even told me she had it, but me and my brain aren't up to par these days. Life is very full and busy.

So this post will be a catch up of the last few months.  It has been a fun 3 months and a lot has been going on in the Gordon home.

March
In March we lost our minds and bought 6 baby chicks!!  We are hoping for many eggs (my family loves eggs) and a great experience for all of us.

They are much bigger now and Greg has built an awesome house for them.  I will post that later.

April

In April we started off the month with Megan getting glasses!! She resisted for a while but it made it better that she only need them to see the board and to watch TV.  I think see look beautiful!!

Not the best picture.
Next, we add some huge rocks to our landscaping!  We did it all on our own(Greg did it all on his own) and it turned out really nice!

I think he flipped the machine 3 times!! Each rock weighed at least 300 lbs!

Megan had her final Ballroom performance and did an awesome job!  She is very eager to start next school year! She can really shake her booty!!

(I had a Birthday and so did Greg)

Next we took a day trip with my sister Jenny and her family to Ogden and visited the Tree House Museum. I found out about it on a blog that I follow and I'm sure glad I did.  It is an amazing place! We had a ball!

That is our future! I think they will make awesome leaders!

Ben did a great job of going with the flow.  I tried really hard to find fun thing to do.

After hanging out at the museum we headed to a restaurant to fill our tummies.  We were quite the sight with our big crew.  It was really fun!

After the museum we found an old train that the kids could climb and play on.  The kids really likes it especially one little boy Isaac.

When you have to go you have to go!!

Isaac had his Easter party at pre-school and I got to go help out!  It is always fun to see your kids in a setting where you aren't in charge.

These pictures aren't the best.  I had to take them with me phone.

Here's the class listening to a story after making their easter ears.

Isaac and his ears
We has a wonderful Easter holiday!  We had our big family bash at Auntie Jane's house and had a ton of fun! She always puts on a great party.  There was plenty of food, and candy to feed and army.  When you think about though, we are becoming a small army!

Run as fast as you can and find those eggs!

Jane found a sling shot this year and used it to throw out candy to the kids!

Nora and Josh eating their candy as fast as they can!

Good looking group of kids!

That looks like a bunch of trouble!!

Have had a full few months with much more to come!!

Sarah's Baptism

Our sweet Sarah Elizabeth was baptized on March 5th 2011.  Greg and I are so proud of all she did to get to this point.  We spent some very spacial Family Home Evenings really focusing on exactly what she was working towards and wanted her to understand the important commitments she was about to make with her Heavenly Father.

It has been a true testimony builder for me to watch her work up to this day.  She took it very seriously and truly wanted to be baptized.

At the beginning of the year our stake put on a nice evening for all the kids who were going to be baptized this year.  They talked about the promises they would be making and the promises that our Heavenly Father would make to her.  They also talked about the Holy Ghost and how to recognize it and what an incredible blessing it is to have Him in our lives.  I know for me my life is blessed daily from the companionship of the Holy Ghost.  I rely on Him to help me through my day as I take care of my family.  I am very grateful for Him in my life.

At the end of the night all the kids were given a small package with some wonderful things in it to help  prepare them for their baptism.  One of my favorite things was a list of words that were connected to baptism.  We did a Family Home Evening with them and had each of the kids pull out a word from a bag and they had to explain how that word was connected to baptism.

It was a really fun thing to do.  It was a helpful reminder for the older kids.  I posted them up on the pantry door to help us continue to think about our promises.  The boys are really excited to get baptized and know so much because of all the lessons and really enjoyed watching Sarah get baptized.

One very excited little girl!

Megan was so excited for Sarah!  She was every involved and eager to help Sarah out.

Love this incredibly Man!  He is a wonderful example to me and the kids and I feel so very blessed to be married to Him.

Sarah truly adores her Dad!

Beautiful!!
It is crazy to think that 3 of my 5 children have been baptized.  Our family has been truly blessed by this children and their beautiful examples they are to me.  I love being their Mom and am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for giving me this opportunity to raise these special child.

Dad's 60th Birthday weekend!

What a weekend!!  I feel so very blessed to have been able to go and spend one of the most memorable weekend with my siblings and parents!

Dad turned 60 in Feb and us kids and Mom thought it would AWESOME to all fly out and surprise our Dad.

We were all giddy for months and Mom was quite the player.  She managed to keep it from Dad for a few months.  We all thought she would cave, but she didn't.

Kenny, Jenny, Eve and I met in Denver and then went on to COLD MN. Beth met us at the airport and we all stuffed ourselves ( we had a lot of stuff) into Beth van, then off to the Mall of America!!  We were all so excited but I think Jenny wins the prize for being the most excited!!  We thought she was going to jump through a window!

This is some of us in Denver!!
Waiting to take off for MN.
Coming into MN......very flat and a lot of snow.
Best travler out of all of us!!  Evie, I will travel with you any time!
At the Mall of America trying to figure out how to breath!!!  I was soooooo coooooold!!!!!
Poor Kenny was in shock by the time we mad it into the mall, and then theres Beth who doesn't even have a coat on, she is true MN, WI through and through!!

Our plan was to surprise Dad coming out of a store but He made things very difficult!!  He wandered from store to store!! Mom finally called him and asked where he was.  He was suppose to be "in" the store, but to our surprise he was sitting outside of the store and trying to figure out what these weird people were doing that looked a lot like his kids!!

We finally got to him:
It was so fun to see Him and to be there for this awesome day!!

Went to lunch after the big surprise.

It was so fun to be home!!  There was so much snow and very cold, just how the winters were when I was growing up.  I sound like an old person, just like someone who just turned 60!!

Kenny was having a hard tine with the cold!!  Arizona has gotten to him!

My cute house!

Dad very delicious birthday cake!!  I didn't have to share my pice with any one!!  That was the beauty of going on this trip all by my self!!  It was heaven!  Thanks Greg, you are the best husband!!

OH, there's the birthday boy!

Here we all are!!  It's amazing to look at this picture and see where we have all gone.

Waiting........

I spent the day yesterday doing a lot of waiting.  I waited for the nurse to answer my call, the Doctor, the pharmacy, to see if meagan was going to have another fever, for the nurse again, a lot of waiting.  I had a lot of opportunities to think about waiting and what I am spending my "waiting" time on.

There is a lot of things in life I could "wait" for.  I could spend my time waiting for a lot of things to chance in all aspects of my life, for this or that to get better or for some thing to make me happier.  But I realized that the time I spend "waiting" I am missing out on enjoy my time and growing from the things that I am waiting to change.

Life is not always going to be the way I wanted it to be.  So instead of "waiting " for it to change I need to make the best of all of it.  I need to be content with what my life has to give and what my Heavenly Father has to give no matter what.  I need to find the JOY in all that comes my way.  It is not going to always be fun or easy, but I go through life's experiences to help me be a better me.
